Start here — support is needs-led, not diagnosis-led
In Scotland, help for a child is provided according to their needs, not according to whether they have a diagnosis. That principle sits behind the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act 2004, and it is why most of the services below welcome families who are still waiting for, or have chosen not to seek, a formal assessment. - Renfrewshire Autism Services & Family Wellbeing Project — respite activities, family support groups and one-to-one support for children, young people and families.
