Privacy & data

Your information, handled with care

A plain-English summary of how we use the details you share with us.

This is a starter privacy note for our pre-launch website. It should be reviewed by the charity before launch and updated with our registered details, a named data contact, and ICO registration number. It is not legal advice.

Who we are

Stable Ground is a Scottish charity in formation (SCIO), being established to provide animal-assisted and equine therapy for children with autism and additional support needs across East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire. Once registered, our OSCR charity number and registered contact details will appear here.

What we collect

When you complete a form on this site (contact, family waiting list, volunteering, referral interest, donation or sponsorship pledge), we collect the information you choose to give us — such as your name, email address, and the details of your message or pledge. We only ask for what we need to respond to you.

How your data is processed

Our forms are delivered to us securely by Web3Forms, a form-handling service acting as our processor, which passes your submission to our email inbox. Please refer to Web3Forms' own privacy terms for how they process form data in transit. We do not use your data for automated decision-making.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to you, to keep you updated where you've asked us to (for example, the family waiting list), and to administer donations, sponsorships and volunteering. We will not sell your data or share it with unrelated third parties.

Keeping children's data safe

Information about a child is special-category data. Please share only what's necessary in an initial enquiry; we'll gather any further details securely and on a need-to-know basis once we're operating, under our safeguarding and data policies.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and pledge information only as long as needed for the purpose you gave it, and then delete it. You can ask us to update or erase your details at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent to updates. To exercise any of these, contact us via our contact page. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
