Help us lay the first ground
We have the land, the team and the plan. With your help we can build the site, care for the animals, and open our gate to the families who are waiting.

Where your gift goes
Honest about the costs
The land is already given โ donated rent-free on a 10-year lease. Your support goes to the things that turn a field into a lifeline:
- Animal care โ feed, farrier, vet, dentist and bedding, all year round.
- Safe sessions โ insurance, safety equipment, and coach training.
- Accessible facilities โ an accessible toilet and a warm, sheltered space matter enormously for this client group.
- Keeping it affordable โ subsidising places so no child is excluded by cost.
Indicative year-one delivery cost is around ยฃ11,000โยฃ20,000, with phased site development funded through capital grants over 2โ3 years.

Give your time
Volunteer with Stable Ground
A charity like ours is built by its volunteers. Whatever you can offer โ an hour a week or a boardroom's worth of experience โ there's a place for you here. (All roles working with children require PVG scheme membership; we'll guide you through it, and it's free for volunteers.)

Session helpers
Side-walkers and helpers supporting children alongside our animals.

Animal care team
Feeding, mucking out and field checks โ the daily rhythm that keeps the yard running.

Fundraising & events
Grant research, community events and social media storytelling.

Trustees
We especially need independent trustees with finance/treasurer or equine/SEN backgrounds.

Trades & skills
Fencing, joinery, groundworks, admin, design โ practical skills, gratefully received.
